The room featured a lovely stone mullioned window that offered impressive views of the hill and cathedral, providing a charming atmosphere. The breakfast served in the transformed chapel included perfectly poached eggs and a tasty sausage, setting a cozy start to my day.
The attic room got uncomfortably hot during my stay, making those two fans feel like they were only circulating warm air. The tap water wasn't drinkable, and while there was filtered water in the fridge, having to trek down two floors for refills was inconvenient. the sticky residue from nearby trees in the car park created a mess that needed cleaning up. Lastly, the unique security system required a code to enter the gate, which can be tricky to manage in the dark while fumbling with a piece of paper and navigating a worn keypad.

We had a lovely stay with easy car parking and access. Extra tea and coffee available in our room. The cozy lounge offered a great place to unwind with complimentary snacks, and breakfast was delicious with amazing views. The only minor issue was that the shower setup wasn’t the most practical, but it didn’t spoil our experience. 😊

The stained glass windows offer a unique charm, bathing the rooms in beautiful colors. Cleanliness throughout the hotel stands out, paired with a pleasant décor that highlights its history as a converted chapel.
We were stuck in a room under the stairs, making it tricky to get comfortable with noise from other guests arriving late. The mattress in our unit, Room No. 25, felt way too firm for a good night's sleep. Breakfast options disappointed, lacking plain yogurt or fresh fruit, and the setup in the deluxe room was cramped with just one chair, making dining a hassle.

The hotel is at the top of a steep cobbled street and around 300 yards from the cathedral. My Standard Double Room was clean and comfy, with a flat-screen TV and a kettle. Breakfast was continental with a lovely croissant delivered each morning. The staff were friendly and provided secure parking for convenience.

I stayed at The Old Palace for a couple of nights to explore Lincoln. The atmosphere here is great. The building, an old church, has beautiful stained glass windows and original features. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely view of the cathedral. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the city centre and right by the cathedral. The breakfast surprised me as well. I enjoyed fresh croissants delivered to my door, which was a delightful touch. the water pressure in the shower was disappointingly low. a lovely stay, and I'd recommend it for anyone visiting Lincoln.

What a charming stay! The room was spacious and quiet, and I loved the fresh fruit and snacks in the fridge—definitely a perk. It’s a lovely spot to explore quirky shops and that stunning cathedral nearby!
Only downside? Those steep hills could make a royal out of breath—who knew lunges were part of the stay package?

Tastefully renovated old church, impressive bathroom annex, enclosed parking option adjacent to graves
Awful heat in the room, needing two fans all night!!! Low water pressure in the shower, which was not fun at all!!! Plus, reception could be more communicative about arrangements!!!
